Vincent Van Gogh junior

Theo and Jo Bonger’s son was born on January 30th 1890 while Vincent was still staying at Saint Rémy’s asylum.
His uncle’s suicide, his father’s madness and his death six months later will leave a mark on his early childhood.
Nicknamed “the engineer”, he will dedicate his life to highlight his uncle’s work, organising numerous retrospectives and presiding over the creation of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, current trustee of all the works inherited from Vincent.
