Hermans

Vincent met the goldsmith Hermans in Eindhoven; he wanted to decorate his living-room and asked him to paint a series of 6 paintings inspired from peasant life.
“ It’s a man I want to try to keep as a friend, he will give me refund for my expenses, he will have to give them back to me after copying them”.
For Vincent, “Hermans is a nice man, an amusing and charming friend”, who paints “with child keenness”.
