Vincent Van Gogh and Doctor Rey

Young trainee, he was the one to greet Vincent when he cut his ear. He soon understood that Vincent could be interesting and sensitive. He protected and helped him as best he could. As soon as the beginning of January, Vincent told how pleased he was to talk with the doctor.
Unfortunately, when Vincent was committed by the Mayor, Rey wouldn’t be there, himself ill at home.
Vincent had to stick to a harsh diet since he couldn’t paint nor drink or even smoke, which was allowed to the other patients.
As soon as he came back, Doctor Rey allowed Vincent to go out in the garden and paint.
He was the one to rent him two small rooms to store his things when he had to leave the Yellow House.
