Afterwards, he seriously took care of Vincent, cheering him up, helping him to move.
During the fits, he would inform Theo of Vincent’s state of health.
His letters to Theo are quite cold, you can feel he resented the fact that Theo wouldn’t take his brother with him in Paris. Salles couldn’t understand how you could abandon someone of Vincent ‘s worth.
